marlies|dekkers GATES TO THE PALAZZO Lingerie collection
The Lingerie of this colection is Marlies' homage to the dramatic entrance gates of the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, Peggy Guggenheim's home in Venice and now home to her museum.
Created in the 60s by Californian sculptress and jewellery designer Claire Falkenstein, the gates are a true spider's web of iron in which giant clumps of colourful Venetian glass are imprisoned.
Turning this into a hold blue/black print of interlaced patterns leads to a collection of bras and knickers in which the lacing idea is reinforced by sexy inserts of laced black satin ribbon.
